Peak oil is a crackpot theory.

The "exact point" when the production peaks doesn't actually exist, depends on conventions, and is extremely far from the present era, anyway. When the times arrive when oil becomes too inaccessible and expensive to drill, it is very clear that it will no longer be important. The Stone Age also didn't end because we ran out of stones.

I don't know whether we need more than oil at $65 to see that those who predicted a rise forever are just cranks.
