I think it is fascinating how far they sailed and in what conditions. I heard that some of them sailed as far as Constantinobel.

Eirik Raude or Eirik The Red founded the first Nordic settlement in Greenlandin 985. He was Born in the Jæren district of Rogaland, Norway. But That was long time after the other Norwegian Ingólfur Arnarson, founded the Icelandic settlements. Greenland settlements vanished during the 14th and 15th centuries, likely due to famine and increasing conflicts with the Inuits.

I hear them talking about cars with hydrogen and a rechargeable battery (plugged). So you can use the battery for shorter distance and hydrogen for longer distances. It is very viable and feasible. I think they already have those cars. We will probably see it in couple of years.
