When the line drops lower novelty is increasing. When it rises habit is reasserting itself.

Novelty can be seen as density of connectedness or simply complexity. Habit is "business as usual".

i made a vid breifly shows the compression of time, but it doesnt really explain much unless ur already familiar with the concept.i guess it's not really trying to convince anyone, just throwing my ideas out there :)

i have this program and the birth of jesus christ aligns with the launch of MTV in 1981 ;)many other things fit the graph like the recent global recession, but i agree with you that it's difficult to determine the y-axis as something truely measurable..

but one thing is for sure, it flatlines on dec 21, 2012.

i guess having LSD or some other perception heightening drug helps to understand this spiral of time compression.
