Summer Island Flying


Day trip in a Cessna 150 from the Detroit area to Put In Bay, OH and back home to Waynesville, OH. We departed from Oakland Southwest Airport and followed the Lake Erie shoreline before crossing over North of Port Clinton to land at Put In Bay.I landed at Port Clinton (PCW) to get fuel but they were closed, so we ended up landing at Seneca Co. Airport in Tiffin to fill the tanks. Then it was a straight shot back to Red Stewart Airfield down near Dayton. It was a great trip and a lot of fun to be able to land on the island!

Days like today, taking a break from doing house cleaning. Great to see these vids. Especially love the PIB landing. So many pilots drag it in on final. Good to see you with altitude in case you lost your fan.

Oh, I just love this and wish I were no longer afraid to fly after so many experiences. But, I'm driving there this summer with my Lassie Collie! Thanks for the inspiration!
