Except it looked like his injury was in the lower back. He could easily be paralysed from the waist down.

-you should've hold his left hand instead of his left leg
-and move your right leg to his right shoulder next to his head
-then pull the hand while pushing your legs
you coulda won with an armlock that time x_x
