After the Hello Sailor days.Great,`81 was the year of NZs own Springbok tour riots as well as those Toxeth in Liverpool ,sounds like a great Liverpool-Irish ballad.A loss of innocence. Thanks it was the year I went on my OE to UK.

When you hear this song "BILLY BOLD" as played on the "When Your Lights Are Out" CD by HELLO SAILOR with THE BRAZZ MAN singing ~ I think you'll agree ( I am convinced ) it will evolve as a folk song that will echo through the ages! Hundreds of years from now the EVERYMAN of his day will adopt this anthemn as his own. GB penned a classic right up there with "Garryowen", "The Foggy Dew", "Bold Fenian Men" ~ It's THAT good! BCC
