i've read that it means "coin in grey" but i never thought that made a lot of sense. i also found the translation to be "you in grey" and my own opinion on the name is that it means that not everything has to be black or white. they can be in the grey area. they don't want everyone conforming, and that being grey is okay. or something along those lines

Dir looks like one of the German words for "you", en looks like the Spanish word for "in", and grey is a color in English. "You in Grey"? XPBut I don't think that's what the guys were aiming for. They chose the name because it "sounded right". It's a mixture of languages, so that people would not be able to attach a specific meaning to it other than the band's name itself. So I've read.
