Since its founding in 1959 with a gift of 196 acres from Ford Motor Company, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has been distinguished by its commitment to providing excellent educational opportunities responsive to the needs of southeastern Michigan. Shaped by a history of interaction with business, government, and industry of the region, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has developed into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and master's degrees in arts and sciences, education, engineering and computer science, and management.One third of the campus, more than 70 acres, is maintained as one of the largest natural areas in metropolitan Detroit, serving as a research and educational resource for the campus and the region. i dont know why but the word CAMPUS is so anoying to me it is an anoying word from everybody? its sounds like saying molly or kind of disturbing word .....

I go here. This coming Fall would be my second year, and I am ashamed to attend this school. I cant wait until I transfer to Ann Arbor. I cant believe people some people feel proud that they attend a little "bitch" school to the main campus.

yeah, there is no on campus housing yet. it is proposed by 2010. campus parking is included in tuition, and once you park, everything is walking distance.
