it's not 100% muay thai. mixed of Muay Boran i can say. i don't even know if jaa ever laern any tkd. but his movements in movies were inspired from bruce lee, jackie chan and jet li. they are his idols. :)

Like I said it's a mix of TKD and Muay Thai. The range speed and combination of kicks is less specific and almost useless in MT unless it's mixed with a long range art like TDK or Tang Soo Do which is a mid to long range art. MT is a mid to short range art with low long range capabilities. I have taken MT. I also know for a fact that Tony Jaa does more the MT in his movies and he has black belts in both TKD and TSD at least 3rd.
