I love Wynton Marsalis' jazz. But honestly, I have to say I like his classical playing the best.

Wynton Marsalis is the best all-around trumpet player of any era. The degree of his mastery of both classical and jazz idioms is unparalleled.

It's true that Clifford Brown was a better jazz soloist, but he couldn't play classical.

There are classical trumpet masters who may top Wynton's technique, but they can't swing to save their lives.

Wynton can simply do more on a trumpet than any of his peers.

If you make the claim that Wynton's not the best, then back it up with a name.

How many trumpet players out there can honestly say they've never played a performance without cracking a note? lol
