I think it was just a stupid past time of the common internet crowds and they eventually got bored. Those who are really interested in the topic will stick around and discussion returns to normal.

I dont see any of these *LHC will make black holes that will destroy us* people around here anymore. Where did they go? I wonder if they finally woke up and faced reality. I just hope people will do the same in therms of 2012.
