Universal health care does not manage decision making. It manages only the spending so that government PAYS for it, instead of having people go bankrupt for getting sick, which is a rather barbaric system.There would be no lines under a universal health care system in the United States because we have about a 30% oversupply of medical equipment and surgeons, whereas demand would increase about 15%.

Yes it sucks big time. The rest of the world has much better health insurance. However americans are brainwashed into thinking that it does not work with social medicine. They are wrong . It works very well.

I find that situation sick. I can't understand it. Here in Canada birth to death, coverage from a paper cut to heart surgery. Why can't the U.S. gov't say that "everyone" has basic coverage like it is guaranteed in our constitution? I just don't get it and glad my senior parents never have to fear that either. Nor me for my children. What is wrong with America providing basics free?
