Nobody's advocating that guy's style though, all we're doing is pointing out that many techniques that work in adcc and ufc don't work in real life. Check out Royler vs Genki Sudo and watch the end of the fight. Royler did what you're supposed to do in grappling, follow him up and stick close. What happened? He got knocked out. Learning how to be effective under artificial rules makes you effective under artificial rules. Period. Always focus on practicality when doing any martial art.
