And before I piss anybody off who misunderstands me, I'm not saying that being an accomplished mma fighter is useless or bad; being in good shape is important, and their skills are practical. However, the UFC/mma model is not an accurate model of real self-defense situations. If you're into picking fights at clubs or whatever, being skilled in bjj will help you humiliate somebody you know isn't a real threat; and that's fine if getting praise for quasi-staged fights is your thing.

soooo 1vs1 in a street fight knowing a little bit of bjj would probably do better than knowing some kung fu???

That's just addressing the "fight" context, that's not even addressing reality. Real life self-defense situations are not tests of skill; reality is somebody else(who's either armed, or with friends) either wanting your money, your belongings, your body, your wife, or whatever, and you're resisting. UFC is to real self-defense, as chess is to real military strategy. In one, there are rules and measures taken to ensure fairness, in the other, things just are what they are and now what?

Fights don't start with you having an armbar. Groundfighting (as well as standup for that matter) is more dangerous in real life(understand that we're not saying it's "harder" but rather "more dangerous"), not because of the opponent's skill, because of reality. In the UFC, the man's corner won't jump in and stomp your head if you go for an armbar; when you get slammed on the mat you're not concussed or dead, and when setting up that armbar nobody's jabbing their thumb in your mouth or nose.
