If you've trained in both aspects of fighting aforementioned and believe that ground fighting has fewer variables than stand up you are GRAVELY INCORRECT. Actually the only variable you've named for stand up is timing, yet you named hips and strategy for ground fighting that's two. It appears that your own comment condradicts itself. To help your argument both are very techinical however bjj is more technical&takes years to master because there is over 700 techniques unlike stand up, try again.

No YOU'RE wrong. I've done BJJ AND stand-up fighting and there are fewer variables in ground fighting than stand-up you don't need to develop good timing in a BJJ fight, you need good hips and decent strategy, in stand-up you need to train ur timing and to take strikes to the body. And you can train BJJ a lot more because you're not constantly experiencing minor blunt force trauma on a regular basis which is why boxers are worthless after age 35 but wrestlers like Couture are still decent at 45.

Dude I know that. But he also trains grappling in MMA, which is not strickly sambo or judo but a mixture of sub wrestling and bjj techniques. He does train MMA doesn't he dude? He trains with Johan Vos. So dude quit wasting my time when you don't even know for sure what your talking about ok dude.

Dude, he trains Judo and Sambo. Not BJJ.
