Warehouse Fire, Downtown Knoxville, TN


A 3 Alarm fire at a warehouse in Downtown Knoxville, TN. Raining fire says Darrell Whitaker, Knoxville FIre Department Captain. Fire started in the Philco Building on West Jackson Avenue. Caught the the adjacent McClung Warehouse on fire. This happened Feb. 7, 2007. This was a big inferno.

I remember i could see the smoke off of the building on my way to school that morning.

I am from Maryville, but we lived in Little Rock at the time and I watched this live streaming over the internet in disbelief. My sister works on Jackson Ave and said there was melted stuff all over their cars in the parking lot.

I used to live over at Summit Towers at the time, and I wondered if we would have to be evacuated from the area.Quite a devestating fire. Thanks for the video, friend.
