One major obstacle to ending this disastrous and ineffective prohibition is battling and overcoming the massive enforcement business that will be displaced, ie., prison builders lobbying for mandatory drug sentences. Having been a hard core anti legalization proponent my entire life, only recently in the face of overwhelming evidence and at the urging of people that I respect have I done a 180 on this subject.

Your straight edge. Good for you, really. But that doesn't mean that people like you or the government for that matter should tell us who choose to use cannabis and medical patients who can live a longer and healthier life with cannabis that we can't use it. There will never be a world where no one smokes cannabis. And prohibition just makes it worse because crime increases and it's a complete waste of our tax dollars.

The time is NOW to end the prohibition and the time is NOW to end the war!
