wing chun is the most effective martial art.
it is trained by the special forces all over the world

i think it's entertaining and i respect the discipline to learn this martial art... but it looks pretty ineffective against a real combat athlete... let's say against sean sherk... or kenny florian... or any top ten mma lightweight. his chin is sticking out saying "hit me"...

I am a western boxer (golden gloves) and I LOVE Ving Tsun. Sticking and turning with forearms WORKS in the boxing ring... even tho the punches don't work too well in the ring, those punches are plenty strong when YOU AREN'T WEARING GLOVES!!!!! (and you keep keep keep striking!) The only thing that I don't like, is that the Ving Tsun guys stick their darn chin out. Bad, bad, bad. It says: "here is my chin, and just choke me".

Well i wouldn't say that the wing chun punches are the most powerful, well they have speed and are incredibly effective but the most powerful punch is without doubt the great old boxing punch, a simple good straight=).
