You have got to be kidding! How can you generalize about dog lovers/cat lovers! What does that have to do with this song??? This song was popular not because of the lyrics but because of the melody which is still very'catchy'. Put different words to it and it will still be significant. If you translate the words, they mean little to Americans --they are very religious. If this song were translated, it wouldn't have been popular here.

The song was relentlessly insipid and repetitive, and this update/remake is sooooo sad....eeeek!
