I can help settle this issue. I just uploaded my Porta Bote video and it should appear in a day or so. You will see my 12 footer being used in salt water. I won't disclose how far out I was so I don't encourage anyone to do anything beyond their skill level, but you won't see land in my video and it was a clear day. Think about safety no matter what kind of boat you have!
