Tamasaburo "Sagi Musume"坂東玉三郎 「鷺娘」 - last section

For the first section of the dance, see http://... performed his signature dance "Sagi Musume (Heron Maiden)" at the Kabuki-za, Tokyo. This is the last part of the dance. Here, on the stage, Tamasaburo morphed from a maiden into a heron spirit by means of a quick change of costumes. Tamasaburo also performed an 'ebizori mie' - the "prawn bend (backbend) pose".

This is one of the most bizzare and mind shattering performances out there!!!! Tamasaburo actually sends us all a message, mentally through our minds in his performance.I would certainly love to perform this performance if I ever get into acting!!

Sagi musume is the best kabuki play in my opinion, it's just beautiful, and Bando Tamasaburo can create such amazing pictures. Truly a great dance.
