so what? i bet the majority of songwriters arent even that familiar with sheet music or theory, or know what every single damn chord they hit is technically called, for that matter. chords must be taught, either by yourself or by a teacher. elliott had a gift in writing music that you can't be taught. thats the difference and what really matters.
